1.Call to Order

Chair Sid Vander Veen called the meeting to order for the Information Meeting for the Park Street Municipal Drain Improvement Information Meeting on behalf of the Township of Huron-Kinloss at 10:10 am on March 7, 2020 at the Ripley Huron Community Centre.

Sid Vander Veen explained his background. His role for the meeting is to facilitate and to give some general background information on the Drainage Act and answer any Drainage Act questions.

3 Information – Park Street Municipal Drain Improvement Project

3.1 Drainage Act Background
Sid Vander Veen gave a presentation on the Drainage Act.

3.2 Park Street Municipal Drain Improvement
Ed DeLay gave a presentation on the purpose of the Meeting, the project background, the history, the existing drainage systems located in the Village of Ripley that are in some way connected to the Park Street Drain. He presented some of their current findings and presented some video of the camera work that has been completed on the current drainage system. Mr. DeLay explained the design criteria that will be followed. He explained the construction process and how project costs are assessed to property owners. He reviewed the timeline and the next steps.
