Why Engage?

The Township of Huron-Kinloss has initiated a community engagement website; www.haveyoursayhk.ca, to talk to our residents and visitors about current projects. The  purpose of this website is to promote conversations between the Township and residents and to learn more about the priorities in the community. Community engagement not only strengthens Council's relationship with residents, it also ensures better, more educated, decisions are being made with the community needs at the forefront of every decision. 

Why Engage? If you have something to say, we want to hear it! Too often residents feel their opinion is not being heard or they don't have a safe place to discuss questions or concerns about Township projects and initiatives. We want engagement to be easy and welcoming! By registering on the www.haveyoursayhk.ca website you can add comments, ask questions, tell your stories and provide us with valuable feedback. The site is moderated 24/7 by a third party to ensure the conversations remain appropriate, on topic, and free from any bullying or harassment. 

By registering, you can choose a username that is as anonymous as you would like it to be. Your information will never be shared with community members, businesses, or used for any other forms of communication. We've asked questions on the registration form to gain more information about who is using the website, and who we aren't reaching. This information helps us develop meaningful communication plans and strategies to ensure everyone in the community is receiving the appropriate information through communication channels that are right for them.
