The Township of Huron-Kinloss is in the planning and design phase for the replacement of the existing sidewalk on the:

  • South side of Queen St from Melville Lane to William St S and
  • East side of Huron St. from the Ripley-Huron Fire Hall to 32 Huron St.

The new sidewalk will be 1.5m (5ft) wide in order to comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

We are anticipating that construction will begin in the spring of 2025 and will be completed by mid-July, prior to the Ripley Reunion, pending Council approval. Specific timing is dependent on contractor availability and weather conditions.

The contractor will make their best efforts to ensure that you have access to your driveway during construction, however there will be a short period of time when you will not be able to access your driveway when the concrete sidewalk is curing. We apologize for the inconvenience.
