My thoughts

We have been seasonal residents over four generations for ninety five years. Issues which in the past were solved offer a cup of coffee and a handshake are now much more complicated. I will be repeating some points but in summary: I agree that the problem with runoff is a more recent one and is coming from the farms and newer homes. The solution should start at the source and would include insuring that each home has proper water management in place.  With the same proactive reasoning proposal #4 would be optimal. I would definitely not be in favour of another drain into the lake which would cause local erosion and the wash of chemicals and sediment into the lake. Its very difficult to endorse any solution at this time until the cost estimates are also factored in. Finally if any changes are needed to the road (straightening, ditches, paving) I would remind the township that this road is used not only by vehicular traffic but by scores of walkers, runners and cyclists of all ages including folks with baby carriages, carefree children, adults and seniors. Currently the gravel surface with its bumps and curves may be frustrating for drivers but helps to slow the traffic, speed being a major determinant of accidents and injury. Traffic calming measures would need to be an essential part of the overall plan.  Thank you for creating this platform for discussion.
