Aside from the fact that the latest public meeting was held on federal election day after our cottage and many others were closed for the season, as the owner of #137 on Bruce Beach Rd., I have never been bothered much by flooding, we usually come up in the spring, there is normally no flooding at our cottage. If the road on that first weekend is flooded, we just come in from the other direction. By the next time we come up all the flooding has disappeared. The idea of spending thousands and thousands of dollars on this is preposterous. The idea of charging residents for this road improvement, something that should be taken out of our tax dollars, is insulting. A lot of this problem comes from above us, that is where the repairs should be made. The cottagers pay high taxes, much higher than in my Toronto residence, we don't use a lot of services to the extent that full time residents do. Last year the improved ditches on the east side seemed to work really great, why not go with this for now, there is no urgent need to spend this kind of money. Someone is pushing this down our throats, if the township paid this from our taxes would they suggest the same thing
