Firstly, I am stunned that at our 25th of May 2019 meeting at Point Clark, it was decided that when the engineers had made a decision that it would be brought back to the cottagers when they were at the lake, not when the majority had closed their cottagers. This decision solely impacts the cottagers in the municipality more than any other residents yet you went ahead and made a decision without giving cottagers a chance to provide input. I don't think you would make that kind of decision that impacted farmers in the area during harvest season when they wouldn't be available. Secondly, since this matter in the area of cottages 140 has existed for several years, surely there can't be any urgency in spending this kind of money right now. It seems to me that the easiest solution would be to continue with the ditch on the east side of Bruce Beach road, further to the south, taking it down to the sand and then filling it in with gravel and see what the result is in the spring of 2020. Last spring that ditch seemed to make quite a difference in taking away the water compared to other years. Thirdly, it would appear to me that someone hasn't done their job with respect to lot development/drainage when the homes were built on Lake Range Rd as runoffs appear to originate from there and Highland Drive. No one seems to monitor the tree cutting either which leads to runoff and erosion. In my opinion, cottagers are being forced to bear the brunt of a problem that our taxes should pay for. This issue should be 'normal road maintenance'. The Cadillac solution offered is not necessary for a problem that only exists for a couple days. David Brisbin 111-2 Bruce Beach Rd.
