Bridge Rehabilitation 2026

The following bridges/culverts are being rehabilitated:
  • L6 - Bridge on Canning St., Lucknow, west of Havelock St.
  • L7 - Bridge on Havelock St., Lucknow, north of Canning St.
  • H32 - Bridge on Concession 12, Huron Township, between Sideroad 25 and Sideroad 20
  • H51 - Culvert on Sideroad 10, Huron Township, south of Huron-Kincardine Boundary East

See maps for reference. Following the July 6, 2026 Council meeting, the tender for this work has been awarded to VanDriel Excavating Inc. This work will be funded by the Build Communities Strong Fund-Community Stream.

The scope of work for the two Lucknow bridges is deck repairs and asphalt paving. Due to the traffic flow to Snobelen Farms in Lucknow, L6 and L7 cannot be closed to traffic between July 1st - August 3rd or after Sept. 8th in a calendar year. For this reason, the work may be done in 2026 or 2027 depending on crew availability. We anticipate that L6 and L7 will be closed for approximately 4 weeks at each structure and only one bridge can be closed at a time.

H32 includes curb and deck drain repairs and H51 includes new concrete support under the culvert and erosion protection. These two structures are to be completed by Oct. 30, 2026 and we anticipate that each structure will be closed for approximately 2 weeks.
