Boiler Beach & Penetangore Row S Watermain Project
Pending Council approval, the Township of Huron-Kinloss will be starting a road construction project as early as May 2026 on the following roads:
- Boiler Beach Road from Huronville Street to Goderich St. – New watermain, new water services, storm sewer outlets and asphalt paving
- Penetangore Row S. from Huronville Street to Saratoga Road – New watermain and water services
- Huronville Street from Boiler Beach Road to Penetangore Row S. – New water services and asphalt paving
- Unopened Saratoga Road Allowance from Boiler Beach Road to Penetangore Row S. – new watermain (via. directional drilling)
The Boiler Beach Road project will include the installation of a new 150mm dia. watermain, water services to the municipal property line and the replacement of existing storm drains and catch basins on Boiler Beach Road. The entire road width will be paved with new asphalt in addition to designated parking areas along the west side of the road.
The Penetangore Row S. project will include the installation of a new 200mm dia. watermain behind the existing concrete curb on the west side of the street and new water services up the municipal property line.
The purpose of the watermain project is to allow the Township to abandon the existing 50mm dia. watermain located at the rear of the properties between Boiler Beach Road and Penetangore Row S. The watermain is in poor condition and the location is undesirable for a new watermain.
All properties from #18-#30 Boiler Beach Road and the west side of Penetangore Row S. from #2-#38 will be provided with a new water service at the front of their property. See Engineered Drawings for more details.
During this project, Boiler Beach Rd and Penetangore Row S will be restricted to local traffic only. For more information, contact the Township of Huron-Kinloss or continue to check here for updates.
